Why we are blogging for Adoption

As we embark on our adoption journey, there are a few things I would like to share.

Just like someone is carrying their own child, we are very excited.  Along with the excitement is feeling a little scared and apprehensive.  We do not have control over this journey.  We do not know when this journey will end.

During this journey, there is lots of paperwork, along with the completion of a home study and a family profile.  The home study and the family profile is very stressful and difficult.  Although we know in the end this will all be worth it, it is a very stressful time.

I have listened to women complain about weight gain and morning sickness.  Right now, I would do anything to have those symptoms.  After experiencing years of infertility and a miscarriage a few days before Christmas it makes this journey even more difficult.  Just remember I would much rather be carrying my own child rather than filling out another piece of paper.

Deep down I know God has a plan for us.  Although I believe in adoption and I know there are many children who need a loving family it doesn't make this journey any easier.

I am writing this blog to ask you to keep us in your prayers.  If you know someone who wants to put their child up for adoption, keep us in mind.

We are home study approved and ready for bringing our baby home to their loving family.

The last barrier standing between us and bringing our baby home is money.  An average adoption costs between $30,000-$45,000.  With that being said, if you would like to donate or participate in a fundraiser, please see the links listed in the posts.  Most of all, we thank you for reading our story.  We thank you in advance for your kind words, prayers, and generous donation.

I will continue to update our blog as we continue down the road to adoption.
